During the last Toronto Maple Leafs game against the St. Louis Blues, a hot mic caught an interaction between Leafs captain John Tavares and the officials.
Hot Mic Catches Tavares Swearing At Officials After A Non Call
John Tavares has been known to be well kept guy around the league and never letting the emotions get the best of him, however there was a moment that caught the captain swearing at officials.
Tavares went after the officials after he thought there should have been a penalty and the officials did not see it that way. This moment has opened the eyes of many Leaf fans as to how Tavares acts on the ice.
Tavares: Call the f--king trip man! The f--k is that!?
Tavares does have a point as it looks like the Blues player does get the stick into his skates causing him to fall and hit the boards. Going after the officials will never make them change their opinion on the play and has seen them hold grudges.
Leafs Keep Success Despite Loss Of Defenseman Reilly
The Leafs looked like they were big trouble when Morgan Reilly received his five game suspension for cross-checking the Senators Ridly Greig. This team has done a complete 180 despite the loss of Reilly and have found a way to succeed.
