Reaves Fails to Do the One Thing He's Supposed To Do.

Ryan Reaves has one job to do: fire up the team. With motivational speeches, big hits, or fights, he needs to lift the spirit of the team when it's down.
He earns $1.35M a year to do it.
But according to Steve Dangle, he's failing to do it.
It all started in the game between the Maple Leafs and the Panthers last Thursday. It was the first since the Leafs' elimination in the second round of the previous year's playoffs.
Fans wanted retribution for the tough loss. But they got nothing except a bad start, no emotion, and a 2-0 deficit after one period.
It gets worse.

Dangle Disappointed by Reaves

In the 2nd period, Dimitri Kulikov laid a huge hit on William Nylander, who went into the boards head-first.
Nylander stayed down, and there was no penalty call.
The Maple Leafs didn't seem to mind at all. At this moment, Ryan Reaves should have done something, believes Steve Dangle.
Here's what he said:
The Leafs have so much talent. Why give ice time to Ryan Reaves if he's not going to avenge his teammates after dirty, unpenalized plays?
Do you think Treliving made a mistake with Reaves' contract?
