Today several announcements were made regarding the NHL's upcoming 4 Nations Face-Off including star players participating for their nations like Auston Matthews.

The Toronto Maple Leafs had a disappointing end to their 2024 season. Despite failing to succeed in the playoffs a couple of their players have now received a huge honor. Both Auston Matthews and William Nylander have been selected to their respective countries' teams for the NHL 4 Nations Face-Off.
Each country participating announced their first six players to be on their roster. Auston Matthews was selected to Team USA after his record-breaking year.

This exciting tournament is set to take place in February of 2025 and will be the first time we will get to see top NHL talent on the international stage together in a long time. Beyond Auston Matthews and William Nylander, the Maple Leafs should have further representation at this tournament once the full teams are announced.
