The NHL just dropped the details for the first showdown between the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Boston Bruins in the Stanley Cup playoffs.
Mark your calendars because Game 1 is happening this Saturday at TD Garden in Boston at 8 pm. It's going to be intense, as these two fierce rivals battle to begin their chase for the Stanley Cup.
Both the Maple Leafs and the Bruins are itching to redeem themselves after tough losses to the reigning Eastern Conference champion, Florida Panthers. The series is their chance to bounce back and show the league what they're made of.
The winner could set up a rematch with the Atlantic Division winning Panthers in the next round if they defeat the Tampa Bay Lightning in a south beach battle. The days and times for games 2-7 haven't been announced yet. However, with the top-seeded Boston Celtics playing game one of their first round series on Sunday, you can make an educated guess game two should follow suit on Monday, completing the weekend trifecta.
