This afternoon Toronto Maple Leafs head coach Sheldon Keefe spoke to the media. During his time speaking he confirmed that the team will play Auston Matthews in their season finale.

Despite the Toronto Maple Leafs not having anything to play for tonight it was just announced their star player Auston Matthews will play. There had been a ton of speculation that Auston Matthews would sit out for preventative measures.

With Auston Matthews just one goal away from an incredible total of 70 his inclusion in the lineup was highly anticipated. Now what looked like a plateau he would not reach becomes more likely once again.

We could see BOTH milestones hit tonight
Tune in tonight at 7 pm for what could be an absolutely historic night of hockey. Fingers crossed we get to see some magic happen in the hockey world despite the low stakes of the outcomes.
