Ben Danford was the Maple Leafs' 31st-overall pick at the 2024 NHL draft, and he has just suffered a serious injury at the rookie camp that has just gotten underway.

The Leafs' top draft pick at the most recent entry draft appears to have suffered quite the injury in rookie camp today.
The latest reports reveal that he suffered a hard hit near the boards, and it appears his head was involved in the collision. He was immediately assessed for any signs of a concussion on the bench, and immediately thereafter went to the dressing room.
There are no further updates on the matter at the moment, as he is likely still being evaluated by team doctors.
