Simply put, the Maple Leafs were outplayed in net in game one of their series against the Boston Bruins, and while William Nylander may not have changed the outcome, the Maple Leafs need him if they are to win. We haven't heard much from Sheldon Keefe surrounding his shock absence from the team after playing all 82 regular season games, but now two of his teammates have opened up on his situation.
It seems as though neither Reaves nor McCabe know exactly what is wrong with the star forward, but they must all know how key he is to this team, so hopefully him being in good spirits will lead to a return for Toronto in game two of this series.
