The Toronto Maple Leafs are clearly eyeing off some big moves ahead of the March 8 trade deadline, and if things go well, they may start making some moves well before that deadline arrives.

Toronto Maple Leafs scouting Buffalo Sabres vs. St. Louis Blues

On Saturday, the Maple Leafs were seen scouting the St. Louis Blues vs. Buffalo Sabres matchup, with none other than GM Brad Treliving in attendance, and it's safe to say there's some very intriguing targets for them there.
#Leafs GM Brad Treliving and another scout are in Buffalo for the #Sabres - #Blues game.
On the Sabres side of things, Toronto could potentially be looking at the likes of Connor Clifton, Henri Jokiharju or Cassey Mittelstadt, but it's the Blues that offer much more intriguing pieces for the Maple Leafs.

Could the Blues and Maple Leafs swing a blockbuster deal?

On the Blues side of things, Toronto continue to be linked to Colton Parayko, with other names like Brayden Schenn, Torey Krug, Justin Faulk and Marco Scandela all potential trade targets for Toronto.
The team also haven't forgotten about Chris Tanev and Noah Hanifin in Calgary, but given all of the chatter, it appears that Treliving could be ready to swing a blockbuster deadline deal, sooner, rather than later.
