Frustration is growing amongst the Toronto Maple Leafs after now trailing 3-1 in the series to their rivals the Boston Bruins, however greater frustration lies to the Leafs core four, as they showed it on the bench today with an altercation between Mitch Marner and William Nylander during the game.
Like any sport, there will always be mislaps between teammates, however seeing it in the playoffs is one like we never seen before, given how close the Maple Leafs teammates are amongst eachother. During the game William Nylander essentially told Marner to quit complaining and play his game, which caused media to stir a potential rivalry amongst them.
Marner, quickly dismissed any hard feelings and brought up the truth to what eventually transpired during the full segment.
"We're not yelling at each other because we hate each other, we just all wanna be on the same page."
Mitch Marner on the frustration seen on the bench in the 2nd period on Game 4.
The Leafs will need to get their act together as time is ticking, with them being on the brink of elimination on Monday night versus the Boston Bruins as they trail 3-1 in the series.
