Mitch Marner criticized by Leafs fans for off-season optics

Marner's been under a lot of scrutiny this off-season, following an underwhelming postseason. So when Stephanie, Marner's wife, posted that picture of him enjoying some downtime on the water, it's sent Leafs fans into a frenzy.

The timing doesn't look great, especially when you compare it to Domi, who's been sharing his intense gym sessions as he prepares for the new season.

Fans seem frustrated, especially since Marner's the one making $10.9 million this season, while Domi is earning $3.75 million.

Just like William Nylander last year, Marner is heading into the final year of his contract.

If history repeats itself, we will see Marner put up some big numbers to quiet the critics and boost his market value. If not, there won't be many Sea-Doo trips in his future.
