This afternoon a new announcement was made on social media by Morgan Rielly and his wife Tessa that will change their lives for many years to come.
The NHL offseason is a time for family for many NHL players. In that spirit Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman Morgan Rielly and his wife Tessa Virtue welcomed a baby boy to the world.
The Instagram post from Tessa Virtue showcases several photos of the happy family as newborn McCormick Rielly has made his way home.
With the NHL season still a month or so away Morgan Rielly will have time to bond with his son before having to lock in for the upcoming season. Morgan Rielly will once again be counted on as a top offensive option for the Maple Leafs. Last season he posted 58 points in 72 games. At age 30 Morgan Rielly still has plenty of hockey ahead of him under new head coach Craig Berube and now even more to play for.
