Sheldon Keefe, the head coach of the Toronto Maple Leafs, revealed why he swapped out Ilya Samsonov for Joseph Woll at the start of the third period and whether he'd stick with Woll for Game 5.

We just wanted to shake things up a bit and give Joe a chance to get in there. It's all about trying to shift the momentum.

As for the next game, he mentioned,
We've got some time to mull it over and figure out our game plan.
Samsonov's stats haven't been great, with a -1.7 goals saved above expected and letting in 12 goals in four games. Samsonov had been holding down the fort up until then, facing 17 shots and letting in three goals. But , those goals weren't all on him, especially considering the tough chances he faced from the Bruins.
Yet when Samsonov let in that third goal, a 2-on-0 opportunity that David Pastrnak capitalized on, Leafs fans weren't too happy and let their team hear it with some heavy boos as they left the ice for the second intermission.
Sure, Samsonov hasn't been perfect, and he's let in a few goals from afar that have stung the Leafs. But judging him solely on this game wouldn't be fair.
