In the 2022 draft, the Bruins were able to secure one of the best goaltending prospects in Reid Dyck, to then be stolen away by the Utah Hockey Club.

As a highly talented goalie, who was taken 183rd overall by the Boston Bruins, Dyck was looking to be the next big thing in Boston. The 6'4" goalie was a starter for the Swift Current Broncos, and last year in 35 regular season games had a record of 25-7-2 with a GAA of 2.70 and .911 SV%.
The Bruins were not able to come to terms with the young star, and even after losing Linus Ullmark to Ottawa this summer, they allowed for this prospect to go without a deal in place. The Bruins would be third string goalie, Brandon Bussi, is not a proven asset and with Swayman's contract not completed either the Bruins are playing a risky game.
In comes the Utah Hockey Club who took the chance to give Dyck a opportunity as he will be joining their rookie camp.
The Utah Hockey Club has taken over the Arizona Coyotes team and moved them to play in the city of Salt Lake.
It now looks like Boston is going to have to take their chances with Michael Di Pietro, another goaltending prospect, now that Dyck has moved on.
Time will tell if Boston make the correct decision in not coming to terms with Dyck and rolling the dice with less prospects and unknown talents.
