Another legendary competition for 2024, the World Junior Championship had many outstanding games, noteworthy incidents, and upsets. The gold medal game pitted Sweden's, the home squad, against what was considered the tournament favourite in the USA.

Game and brawl recap in an entertaining game

The USA scored a 5-2 goal with five minutes remaining in the third period and a 6-2 empty netter 40 seconds later. The USA's fifth goal saw forward Ryan Leonard blow a kiss to the crowd. That may have been the root of the subsequent problems at the end.
It was a fierce competition since both teams were vying for the gold. With around 30 seconds remaining in the game, it resulted in a brawl between the two teams.
The USA eventually won as the clock ran out.

The issue at hand appeared to carry over to the handshake line

When the teams were in the line for the handshake, Jonathan Lekkerimäki and two prospects got into a furious argument over something that Cutter Gauthier had done.
«I just said great game, wished him the best with the rest of his career, and for whatever reason, he gave me the cold shoulder»
The video of the incident is here:
Evidently, there was a problem, or maybe it was just the disappointment of losing in front of the home crowd. Most people would believe that the Sweden players were upset over the USA players' taunting of the audience as well.
