Tom Wilson has always been known for being a pest. Today this came in handy when sticking up for a teammate after an ugly hit.
Wilson Drops The Gloves To Stick Up For Teammate
In the second period of the game between the Ottawa Senators and Washington Capitals, chaos broke loose. Senators forward Mark Kastelic came in and laid a big hit on Capitals defenseman Rasmus Sandin.
Immediately Capitals star forward Tom Wilson came to the defense of his teammate. Wilson and Kastelic ended up dropping the gloves and having one of the best fights of the season so far.
Mark Kastelic collides with Rasmus Sandin in the corner, and Tom Wilson makes him answer for it.
They dance for a bit.

The pair both got some good shots in during the fight. Wilson had more punches thrown overall and probably landed the biggest punch of the fight. Eventually, the referees came in and broke things up.
The game is currently in the second intermission with the Senators up 5-1. On the bright side for Wilson, he is just a goal away from a Gordie Howe hat trick with a period to go. He will look to spark the Capitals and lead a big comeback in the third period.
