Following the Adam Johnson incident four NHL players have made a major change to their equipment.

Four Jets Leading By Example

Although several teams have started to mandate wearing a neck guard no NHL player had been seen wearing one until now.
Vladislav Namestnikov, Rasmus Kupari, Cole Perfetti and Nikolaj Elhers have been seen rocking a neck guard on during their morning skate, now whether or not they plan to wear it in their game against the Golden Knights tomorrow night remains unknown.

Many More Players To Come

With teams like the Providence Bruins already having players wearing neck guards and organizations beginning mandating neck guard protection it will be a matter of time before seeing a neck guard becomes a regular occurrence.
Pittsburgh, Carolina and Washington have mandated it for their AHL and ECHL affiliate teams to be wearing an neck guard. The NHL won't be able to mandate it until a deal with the NHLPA can be brought together but players still have the choice to wear one if they so please.
