Despite all the off-season hype around this new look Jets forward group, 24-year old Gabe Vilardi has played in just three games, and has not played a game since October 17 due to an injury.

A playoff year incoming?

While the Jets have lost their past two games, they remain in third place in a tough Central Division with a 4-3-2 record through nine games, and now, with the return of Vilardi and the promotion up the lineup of Cole Perfetti, things may finally be building in Winnipeg.
This was a team that snuck into the playoffs in the final days of the 2023-24 season, but with their young, versatile forward group bolstered by the return in the PLD trade, this team looks even better this season, and if Vilardi can get back to his best once he returns following a career high 41 points a season ago, this will be a team to look out for.
