The Winnipeg Jets have lost some depth this off-season, and now they've made a low-risk trade with Carolina to replenish that moving forward.

After letting several players walk this summer, the Winnipeg Jets were in desperate need of a move, and while this isn't a blockbuster, it's a solid trade for a good team.
Believe Winnipeg will be acquiring D Dylan Coghlan from Carolina, too

RFA with a big shot
First reported by Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman, with the Jets acquiring Dylan Coghlan, a 26-year old, 6-foot-2 defenseman from Carolina, who played just one NHL game a season ago. In the AHL however, the defenseman has shown off a big shot that has seen him score tallies of 15, 11 and 16 goals in his three full seasons at that level.
Now, it has been confirmed that in the deal, Winnipeg will send a conditional seventh-round pick to Carolina for Coghlan.
Not that @FriedgeHNIC needs my confirmation, but I can confirm Carolina is trading RFA RHD Dylan Coghlan to Winnipeg.

Hearing the return is a conditional 7th round draft pick going back to Carolina.

It may not be a deal that makes headlines, but Coghlan has solid NHL experience, playing 59 games in 2021-22 for the Vegas Golden Knights, but will likely serve as an AHLer or depth defenseman in Winnipeg.
