A Calgary Flames rookie has been ejected from tonight's game against the Boston Bruins. A brawl where he demolished Bruins captain Brad Marchand led to the ejection.
Flames Rookie Destroys Marchand Earning Himself An Ejection
Early on in tonight's Boston Bruins and Calgary Flames game, Brad Marchand was trying to stir things up. He crashed the net hard and slashed the Flames goalie.
Flames rookie forward Martin Pospisil did not like Marchand's slashes and decided to go after him. In doing so Pospisil attacked and destroyed Marchand so bad he was ejected.
Martin Pospisil gets a five-minute major and a game misconduct for cross-checking Brad Marchand.
Pospisil was given a five-minute major and ejected while Marchand was given two minutes for slashing. The Bruins would fail to cash in on the ensuing powerplay and trail 3-1.
The Flames and Pospisil will now wait and see if he will face any further discipline from the Department Of Player Safety. If Pospisil is required to meet with DoPS we will continue to update you.
