Goaltender Facing Severe Suspension After Sending An Opponent To The Hospital

During a recent game in Sweden's top professional league the SHL a goaltender was ejected for a despicable act that led his opponent to need to go to the hospital.

Goaltender Punches An Opponent Sending Him To The Hospital

A game between Leksand and Oskarshamn was shoved into chaos when goaltender Mantas Armalis punched an opposing player. Armalis looks to go out of his way to punch the player. The player had trouble skating off under his own power after the punch and was sent to the hospital.

Armalis was ejected from the game and waited for the next steps in what would be a disciplinary process. Since the game ended the SHL has put out a statement regarding the next steps for Armalis.

Goaltender Facing Severe Suspension

In the statement made by the SHL, they have confirmed they are investigating the incident. The consensus of those around the SHL is that Armalis will face a suspension.
