Referee loses consciousness on the ice after colliding with a player

All players from the Tampa Bay Lightning and Pittsburgh Penguins on the ice as referee Steve Kozari is being stretchered off the ice.

After a major collision with a player, a referee lost consciousness and had to be stretchered off the ice during a game in Pittsburgh.

Tampa Bay Lightning's Haydn Fleury collided with Steve Kozari. The referee got knocked out and left the game on a stretcher.
The collision was accidental, but still dangerous. Fleury went to the locker room after the incident.
"Scary moment. NHL ref collided with one of the ⁦@TBLightning⁩ players. Ref is being taken off on a stretcher. 🙏🏻"
Players from both teams went on the ice to salute Kozari has he was leaving the ice, in a great gesture, that shows the great leadership in both organizations, and the respect between players and referees.
