Major Trade Scenario Involving William Nylander
There's a lot of talk going on in the NHL about a trade that could be really interesting. It involves two great Swedish players: William Nylander and Elias Lindholm.
Nylander has been impressing everyone with his skills on the ice. He was the 20th highest scorer in the league and had a great season with 40 goals and 87 points. He has shown that he can compete with the best players in the NHL.
But Nylander and the Leafs are having trouble agreeing on a new contract. He wants more money than the team is willing to give him.

Because of this disagreement, there might be a trade happening soon. Here's the intriguing proposal:
For Toronto, this trade could be really good. Lindholm is known for being a strong player both offensively and defensively. In the 2021-22 season, he scored 40 goals and had 82 points. He was even a finalist for the Selke award.
The added bonus for Toronto is the first-round pick they would receive along with Lindholm.
From Calgary's perspective, this trade looks really good. Getting Nylander, who is younger and arguably more talented, could be a big win for them. There's also a good chance that Nylander would sign a contract extension with the team if they offer him the right amount of money.
With Nylander on their team, the Flames could have a very strong first line with Huberdeau, Kadri, and Nylander.
Would you make that trade?
