A very well known NHL hockey broadcaster has seen enough diving and injury faking in soccer, and absolutely tears an Argentinian player to pieces.

Gord Miller has called his fair share of NHL games over the last two decades, and decided to venture outside that sport and into soccer, in order to tear into the character of Rodrigo de Paul, an Argentinian midfielder, for his on-field theatrical performance against Canada in the Copa America semi-final.

The amount of injury faking and diving has really increased over the last several years in soccer, as FIFA has not really stepped in to try and stop it. Players know they can get away with it, and do whatever it takes to get the referee's attention to call a penalty for the other team. Argentina did exactly that last night against Canada.

Seeing as FIFA isn't doing anything to combat this despicable behaviour, soccer fans have taken to the internet to provide an explanation as to what they believe can be done to fix these issues:
FIFA should really implement what MLS has done when a player is "injured". If they remain on the ground for more than 15 seconds they have to exit the field following treatment and stay off for a minimum of 2 minutes until the next stoppage in play. It's made a noticeable difference in MLS matches.

Will Gord Miller's voice be enough to be the starting point in a snowball effect that triggers many other big name people out there to call out FIFA? Soccer fans sure hope so, in order to save the game.
