Former NHL Prospect Gabriel Gagne has been accused of hiring a hitman
Former NHL prospect Gabriel Gagne has been accused of one of the worst type of crimes against his ex-girlfriend.
Gagne was a top prospect for the Ottawa Senators and Toronto Maple Leafs. He was making his rounds in ECHL and AHL between 2016-2021 trying to make a name for himself.
The 27-year-old is accused of violent acts against his ex-girlfriend. The acts include uttering threats and assault with a deadly weapon. There was also an account from his ex-girlfriend that a hitman was hired.
His ex-girlfriend, only identified as Daphné, gave some disturbing accounts of what took place. Please note, the follow quotes are from a recent trial and are disturbing. The quotes are also translated from French.

During yet another crisis, Gagne grabs a 40-pound dumbbell and brandishes it over Daphné. At the last second, someone close to Daphné intervenes and orders him to leave. It's the beginning of the end.
