Today New York Rangers defenseman Jacob Trouba finds himself in trouble again after a dangerous elbow to the head of Panthers Evan Rodrigues.

Jacob Trouba has been criticized several times throughout the playoffs for dangerous hits he has dished out. This afternoon might have been Jacob Trouba's worst offense with a clear elbow to the head of Evan Rodrigues.

The call on the ice by the referees was originally a major penalty. After review it was downgraded to a two-minute penalty. Despite this there is still an expectation that Jacob Trouba could face a suspension for the hit.
Jacob Trouba is the Draymond Green of the NHL, only the NHL refs don't have the stones to throw his cheap a** out

How one of the most blatant & intentional elbows of his career (which is saying a lot) isn't a major just doesn't make any sense. What a joke. Dude's a total
Jacob Trouba gets a two-minute penalty for the slash and another two for this egregious elbow.

How was this not a major?
With such a terribly missed call by the referees, the question now becomes whether the Florida Panthers take justice into their own hands and end up going after Jacob Trouba. After the game, we will likely learn Jacob Trouba's disciplinary fate. If he is offered a hearing tomorrow by the NHL that will be a major indication of the next steps.
