The Judge overseeing the Sean Higgins case has officially made his decision on when and how the murderer can exit prison, and it won't be quick.
Sean Higgins, the man accused of causing a deadly drunk driving crash that ended the life of Johnny Gaudreau and his younger brother Matthew, had another court appearance today. But this time, things looked a little different.
The 43-year-old appeared virtually in a New Jersey courtroom on Thursday, without his anti-suicide smock from his last appearance. Instead, he sported the standard orange-issued jumpsuit of an inmate and had changed up his facial hair to include a thick goatee.

The hearing, which was supposed to determine the conditions of his pretrial release, lasted just seconds before being cut short due to a delay in the decision. Now, Higgins will sit in jail until his next court date on September 13th.
This is the second time the public has seen Sean Higgins in court following the tragic incident on August 29th, where he purportedly crashed into Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau, who were riding their bikes on a rural road in Salem County. His first court appearance on August 30th had him leaving with disappointed eyes after finding out he was going to be in custody longer than initially expected.
He is charged with two counts of vehicular homicide and investigators say he has told them he drank "5-6 beers" before the crash.
Tributes to the Gaudreau brothers keep coming in. The Calgary Flames and Columbus Blue Jackets, both former teams of Johnny, held candlelight vigils at their arenas on Wednesday night in memory of the brothers.
