NHL official Wes McCauley is a polarizing figure amongst Toronto Maple Leafs fans, and the NHL has released some news that may have Leafs fans sighing in relief.

The NHL announced on Friday night that Wes McCauley will not be working game 7 between the Leafs and the Boston Bruins on Saturday night, as he is on standby in Nashville in case he is needed in the series between the Vancouver Canucks and Nashville Predators.

Leafs coach Sheldon Keefe has had personal run ins with McCauley, as he testified against McCauley's brother-in-law David Forst on court on charges.
The NHL has come under fire in the past for giving McCauley Toronto playoff games, as McCauley has been noticeably bias towards the Leafs in these games.
Leafs players, coaches, and fans alike are relieved that McCauley will not be working the game, as Toronto looks to avoid losing their NHL record sixth consecutive game 7
