The Edmonton Oilers and the St. Louis Blues completed another trade after the offer sheets to Dylan Holloway and Philip Broberg weren't matched by GM Stan Bowman.

On Tuesday morning, it was confirmed that the Oilers general manager Stan Bowman wouldn't match the offer sheets made by the St. Louis Blues.
The Blues GM, Doug Armstrong, had to send two draft picks in compensation, but that's not the only thing he shipped off to Edmonton.
In breaking news, we learned that the Blues agreed on the terms of a trade with the Oilers.
They sent a 2928 third round draft pick and the unsigned defenseman Paul Fischer to the Oilers for future considerations.
Here's the Blues' official announcement:
"In a separate transaction, St. Louis is sending its 2028 third-round draft pick and unsigned 2023 fifth-round draft selection Paul Fischer to Edmonton for future considerations."
Fischer, 19, was drafted 138th overall by the Blues in 2023. The 6'1" defenseman played for the University of Notre Dame, in the NCAA, during the 2023-24 season, where he tallied 16 points in 34 games.
According to Elite Prospects, Fischer brings a steady defenseman presence on the ice with his play reading and physical skills. He also knows how to use his frame to its advantage.
More to come.
