However, fans didn't really think that they could be considering trading Brady Tkachuk, but that happens to be the current rumour making its way around.

The Senators are obviously still trying to form their perfect roster. While they have a good young core, there is clearly room for improvement. However, they have invested in Brady Tkachuk leading this rebuild, so trading him would mean a clean start, something they aren't likely considering.
