Keanu Reeves, growing up in Canada was once a promising hockey prospect, and now, his world has come full circle with a one-day contract in the OHL.
Growing up in Canada, a majority of young men desire to be hockey players, and even for people that end up famous in other avenues, that remains the case. The perfect example of this is Keanu Reeves, who was once a prospect with the Windsor Spitfires of the OHL, before ultimately pursuing acting due to several injuries sustained before he could get his big shot.
Now, we've seen his whole life come full circle, as the 59-year old has signed a one-day deal with the team, despite being 39 years too old to qualify for Canada's top junior league.
The reason behind this one shock anyone who has followed his career for a long time, as it was a charitable move, with everything signed by Reeves during his time with the Spitfires set to be auctioned off, with the proceeds going to the Canadian Mental Health Association. The actor who shot to fame with films such as Speed, The Matrix and Point Blank was once considering a different career, but ultimately chose the path many believe was perfect for him, as his roles as an actor have allowed him to become one of the most beloved and charitable men on the planet, and this great move from Reeves and the OHL is another example of why he's such a great role model for many.
