Insider Provides Major Update on Trevor Zegras
With the upcoming season in only six weeks, the Anaheim Ducks are working diligently to ensure they keep one of their best players: Trevor Zegras.
Zegras is still not under contract for next season and according to inside information from Frank Seravalli, a resolution might be on the horizon.
Puck Empire shared the insights from Seravalli, painting a picture of what we might expect:

"The more likely outcome at this point is that the Ducks and star forward Trevor Zegras will agree to a short- to mid-term bridge deal.
Zegras' market value for a long-term deal is estimated around $8M AAV. If this figure doesn't work for either side, a short-term agreement would probably be around $5M AAV." - Frank Seravalli
While this bridge deal seems practical, it carries some risk for the Ducks. With Zegras's skills expected to soar even higher in the coming years, they could end up facing a price tag well above $8M if he lives up to his potential.
But the Ducks are well aware of what they have in Zegras. His exceptional skill set, combined with a charismatic personality, has him poised to be an extraordinary asset for the long run. It's no wild prediction to say that Zegras might lead the Ducks to a Stanley Cup triumph.
This past season provided a glimpse of his brilliance, as the 21-year-old phenom notched up 65 points in 81 games. His incredible maneuvers, like the "Zegras Pass" and multiple Michigans, have already made headlines.
We can't wait to see him on the ice next season! Do you think he'll reach the 30-goals mark?
