Today is was announced that the Bruins forward has entered the NHLPA player's assistance program while he takes an indefinite leave of absence from the team.

The player's assistance program has been negotiated by the player's association as a tool for active NHL players to seek professional help for off-ice issues. Several players have gone through the program in recent years for issues ranging from mental health to addiction.
The Bruins will look to carry on with another season of winning hockey without Lucic tomorrow when they visit the Panthers in Florida.
