The Boston Bruins appear to have a replacement for Milan Lucic right in front of their eyes as this player continues to fill the gap left by Lucic.

Frederic Emerging As Replacement for Lucic in Bruins Lineup

After the news of Milan Lucic's arrest shocked the Boston Bruins, they struggled for a few games. Now, winning their last two games straight, they appear back on track for their impressive season, and it appears due to Trent Frederic's emergence as a potential Lucic replacement.
Givani Smith takes the first half.

Trent Frederic takes the second:
The fight above occurred after Bruins' Captain Brad Marchand was dealt a questionable hit, as Frederic took it upon himself to stick up for his captain. Marchand noted after the game that the Bruins were returning to their usual form, being a tough team to play against.

Frederic Adds Toughness But Also Goalscoring For the Bruins

Frederic is by no means an all-star goal scorer for the Bruins, however, he has pulled his weight to start the year and has continued to improve in his new role. Frederic has 3 points in his last 5 games, and 10 points on the season.
Notably, Frederic added a big goal against the Leafs in last night's overtime victory.
Trent Frederic regains the lead for Boston
Over the last four seasons, the Bruins are now 27-2-1 when Trent Frederic records a goal.
The Bruins will hope to begin a true win streak when they take on the Columbus Blue Jackets in the latter half of their back-to-back.
