The Boston Bruins have already seen the retirement of long-time captain Patrice Bergeron this off-season, and now, they could potentially be losing another veteran player.
Back in 2006, the Boston Bruins saw the debut of David Krejci, a talented, two-way forward, and ever since that point, he's been a crucial piece of their lineup each and every year.
After an impressive 1,032 games and 786 points at the NHL level, Krejci may be ready to call it quits on his career, at least in the NHL as he has revealed his latest update on retirement.
In a recent interview, Krejci clarified his future plans, whether it be internationally, in Europe or in the NHL.
It appears as though the 37-year old is done in the NHL, but with international hockey and Europe potential options, he could continue in some capacity, but for now, it doesn't look like he'll be back with the Bruins anytime soon.
