NHL Player Safety has made a final ruling on Flames Forward Andrew Mangiapane

Mangipane's Faith Decided by Player Safety

Calgary Flames Forward Andrew Mangiapane has been suspended one game for cross-checking the Seattle Kraken's Jared McCann.
Mangiapane hit McCann in the neck with his stick while McCann was on the ground after slipping while attempting to block the shot. Mangiapane uses the top part of his stick to hit McCann, who had the puck under him.
Mangiapane was ejected for the play and issued a match penalty. Jared McCann left the game but returned later for the Kraken. This is the first suspension for Mangiapane in his NHL career, likely a factor in the shorter sentence than predicted by some. Mangiapane will miss Calgary's next game on Tuesday vs the Nashville Predators.
