Pesce was off to a solid start this season with two points in five games following on from his career high of 30 last season, but now, a lower-body injury will keep him out of the lineup for what Brind'Amour describes as 'way more than' week-to-week.
With a deep roster, the Hurricanes can certainly stay afloat until his return, but if their defense that has given up 16 goals in their last three games continues to play like this, alarm bells may be ringing in Carolina.
