Hurricanes Considering Trading DeAngelo

According to a recent report on Hockey Night in Canada by Elliotte Friedman, Hurricanes GM Don Waddell has been exploring the possibility of trading Tony DeAngelo.
"There is word Carolina is looking to move a defenceman. The name hearing a lot out there is Tony DeAngelo, but there are other things that the Carolina Hurricanes will potentially consider."
Tony DeAngelo played 70 games for the Flyers last season before rejoining the Carolina Hurricanes on a one-year deal, having previously played for the team in 2021.
This year, DeAngelo played 12 games, scored five assists and holds a -7 rating while averaging 16:21 minutes of ice time.

Contract Negotiations Stalling for Pesce

There is speculation that Brett Pesce might be a potential trade candidate due to the ongoing contract discussions that have hit a roadblock between the veteran defenseman and the Hurricanes. Pesce, who is in the final year of a six-year contract, has played five games this season, tallying a goal and an assist. Unfortunately, he has been sidelined by a lower-body injury since then.
