Earlier today, respected Sportsnet insider Eric Engels shared a significant update about Joel Quenneville's return to the NHL.
The coach is currently attending a major meeting for GMs and coaches in Chicago
Here in Chicago, where NHL general managers and coaches are conducting a one-day meeting. Also in attendance are Stan Bowman and Joel Quenneville, who will address the group at some point this morning.
Quenneville stepped down from his position in the NHL in 2021 during his tenure with the Panthers, following revelations about his involvement in the Kyle Beach incident.
There's no question about Quenneville's coaching prowess. While there aren't any available positions in the NHL presently, NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman has endorsed Quenneville's return.
