The Michigan is an awe-inspiring move where the puck is flipped onto the blade of a player's stick during a wrap-around manoeuvre, causing it to pop over the goalie's shoulder and into the net. Though it is feasible to execute this manoeuvre consistently during a practice if rehearsed enough, it is exceedingly rare for someone to do it during a game. However, a young Blue Jackets player made it happen.
Pulling off such a spectacular move is impressive, but it is even more impressive to achieve it on the anniversary of the first-ever Michigan goal, a feat that Johnson can proudly claim to have accomplished.
