In yesterday's playoff match between the Minnesota Wild and the Dallas Stars, Joe Pavelski took a dangerous hit from Mathew Dumba that raised a lot of eyebrows.

For those who missed it, you can check out the video of the hit here:
It was evident that Dumba's hit was dangerous and many fans were eagerly awaiting the NHL safety department's decision on the matter.

NHL Won't Suspend Dumba

"@NHLPlayerSafety will NOT have a hearing for @mnwild defenseman Matt Dumba after his hit took @DallasStars center Joe Pavelski out of Game 1 last night." - Greg Wyshynski

Well, the verdict is in and it's surprising to learn that Dumba won't be summoned for an audience.
This comes as a shock to many, especially given that Pavelski had to leave the game after receiving the hit. You can see the announcement on Wyshynski's tweet here:
It's not uncommon for the NHL to make debatable decisions and we can expect more of this ibefore the end of playoffs. For now, we hope that the players remain safe and the games stay fair.
