The Edmonton Oilers have a superstar duo in Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl, but unfortunately, the rest of their roster leaves plenty to be desired, so could they really move one of their big name stars?

Trade Scenario involving Leon Draisaitl and the Boston Bruins emerges

The Oilers biggest issue this season has been in net, and unsurprisingly, they're looking at a way to improve in order to contend for a Stanley Cup, but at this point, it doesn't appear as though they're ready to pay the price needed for an elite net minder.
However, there's now a trade proposal floating around that would send one of the Oilers biggest stars to Boston in order to get back the reigning Vezina Trophy winner.
Ryan, would you trade Draisaitl and Foegele for...last years Vezina winner, DeBrusk, Poitras, Lysell and a 2026 1st rounder? The Central Registry would approved this proposed trade for cap and roster implications.

A monster deal that seems to good for the Boston Bruins to turn down

That comes from ESPN's John Buccigross, with the Oilers getting Linus Ullmark, a 2026 first-round pick as well as three young, talented forwards for Leon Draisaitl and Warren Foegle, and it's safe to say the Bruins would love this deal.
Ultimately though, it appears the Oilers are committed to winning with their star duo, and would prefer to target a cheaper option in net to keep them together, so this one will likely not be coming to fruition anytime soon.
