After a disappointing tenure with the New York Rangers, Patrick Kane's future is now up in the air as he is currently recovering from hip surgery, and with many teams interested in his services, he could end up in many different places come the 2023-24 season.
A veteran star
Despite the playoff disappointment in New York, many still see Kane as a very valuable asset who has Stanley Cup winning experience and could change the outlook of a team entirely.
The Panthers, Sabres, Avalanche and the Rangers all reportedly hold interest in the three-time Stanley Cup Champion, but at this point, a clear favourite is seemingly emerging.
Another Cup in Edmonton?
According to many reports, the Edmonton Oilers are now the favourite to land the veteran superstar, and with McDavid, Draisaitl, Kane and others, this would certainly be classed as going all in.
While it was their goaltending in the playoffs that let them down, with another years experience, Stuart Skinner will be better off for the experience, and with Kane added to an already loaded top-nine, this would be a very dangerous team indeed.
