The Edmonton Oilers have had a busy time since naming Stan Bowman General Manager of the team, and now he reportedly has another move ready.

Over the past two weeks, the Edmonton Oilers have made a trade, as well as declining to match not one but two offer sheets from the St. Louis Blues, marking a very busy start to the tenure of former Chicago Blackhawks General Manager Stan Bowman. According to top insider Frank Seravalli, the deals may not yet be done, as they have a new deal in place that could happen before training camp officially begins.
"There's other things Edmonton is looking at, I think including a potential trade that could shake things up a little bit more than just the PTO route.

All I know is they have different options on the table"
Training camp is a matter of weeks away, so the longer a deal takes to be officially announced, the less and less likely the move is to be made, but with Cody Ceci and Philip Broberg both being moved from the blue line, the team have a major hole on the right side, with Troy Stecher currently penciled in to play major minutes for Edmonton given their roster.
It's unclear exactly who Seravalli is talking about when he reveals the team have a deal in place, but it's clear that something needs to change, and if his report is right, expect to see yet another new face in Edmonton before the crucial 2024/25 campaign begins.
