Today the Edmonton Oilers conducted practice ahead of Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Finals and showed some disappointing evidence that Evander Kane will miss the game.
The Edmonton Oilers have been working with Evander Kane to help him through a reported back injury. After playing through it for several weeks he missed Game 5. Today he was back at practice but looked to be skating with a line with Sam Carrick and Sam Gagner.
While this is a positive the trio are expected to be the scratches heading into Game 6 as of now.
Kane is not skating on a regular line. He's on the fifth line with Sam Carrick and Sam Gagner.
This has led to speculation that Evander Kane will end up missing a second straight game in the Stanley Cup Finals. He will likely be in the press box along with Sam Carrick and Sam Gagner unless the Oilers go with an extra forward.
Doesn't sound like Evander Kane will play in game 6 for the Oilers.
