Despite being part of the Stanley Cup winning team in 2024, Nick Cousins is yet to find a new team in free agency this year, with the reputation that proceeds him likely not playing a very positive role in his search. Now, with Cousins looking to find a new team in the weeks leading up to training camp, the 31-year old is making a major switch, as Frank Seravalli announced on social media that he has changed representation.
At 31-years of age, Cousins has built up a reputation as being the NHL's most hated player, but with a solid average of 20 points a season over the past four years along with the physical game he brings to the center position, it's still a surprise that no one wants to take a flier on him. Perhaps this change may go a long way to rectifying that, given that the 592 gamer still has plenty of gas left in the tank.
It's unclear at this point what the interest level is in Cousins, but if he's willing to accept a smaller amount whether that be of money or playing time, there's a role out there for him, and with this move, it shows he's doing anything he can to find a role in the NHL next season.
