Bjornfot, 22, was a former first round pick of the Los Angeles Kings in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft, selected 22nd Overall. Currently, Bjornfot has just one game with the Kings this season. Bjornfot signed a two-year contract extension with the Kings this past offseason, with an AAV of $775k.
Bjornfot has missed a large part of the season after sustaining an injury in the AHL while on loan from the Kings, being stretchered off the ice in a game against the Coachella Valley Firebirds back in November.
Called up from the American Hockey League is Brandt Clarke. The 20-year-old defenseman is currently leading the Reign in Points with 32 in 30 Games, leading all AHL defenders in points. Clarke was selected 8th Overall by the Kings in the 2021 NHL Entry Draft.
