The Leafs want to figure out if they truly have a goaltending issue, there is no question about that. However, just how pressing the issue is remains to be seen. As Johnston notes, if they can get by with Jones and Hildeby until Woll gets back, they may not have to make any drastic moves to address their goaltending problem.
If last night's game was any indication, they may not have to do anything, as Jones picked up his 30th career shutout against his former team.
Jones could play both ends of the back-to-back, as the Leafs take on the Anaheim Ducks tonight. However, it is clear that the Leafs will have to try out Hildeby at some point or another.
