Patrick Roy's Days as the Islanders Head Coach May Be Numbered as He Could Be Promoted to General Manager

Insider Stefen Rosner has dropped a hint that big changes are on the horizon for the Islanders' leadership. He's betting that Roy will soon take over as general manager, with Benoit Desrosiers stepping in as head coach.
Here's what Rosner shared:
"I do think at some point it will be Roy at GM and Benoit at Head Coach."

Roy, who recently joined the Islanders' organization, might be on the fast track to becoming the general manager, and it's expected that he'll bring Benoit Desrosiers as head coach.
If the Islanders don't make it to the playoffs, this could very well be the end of the road for Lou Lamoriello and the Islanders. At 81 years old, many believe he will retire soon and make way for Roy, like we've seen in Nashville with Barry Trotz.
Do you think Lamoriello will retire if the Islanders don't reach the playoffs?
