Today sad news has been announced that a staple of the hockey community over the last several decades has passed away.

Former Flyers Defenseman And NHL Scout Passes Away

A post on social media today confirmed the passing of former NHL defenseman Glen Cochrane.
I am sorry to hear about the passing of Glen Cochrane, former @NHL player for the @NHLFlyers and scout for the @AnaheimDucks. He was always very good to me and I always appreciated him. Condolences to his family and friends. He will be missed by the scouting community
Cochrane played in the NHL for 10 seasons and played over 400 games. During his career, he played with the Philadelphia Flyers, Vancouver Canucks, Chicago Blackhawks, and Edmonton Oilers.
After retiring Cochrane stayed involved with the game starting out as an assistant coach with the Kelowna Rockets. He would then transition into a scouting role with the Colorado Avalanche in 2001. Cochrane would move to the Anaheim Ducks in a scouting role in 2007 and remained there until his passing.
Our condolences go out to Cochrane's family and friends as well as the Anaheim Ducks organization during this difficult time.
