However, without one signed before the seasons things start to get more complicated and questions will begin to be asked. Today those questions have begun as Travis Yost posed the scenario of a Sidney Crosby trade and which teams might benefit most from landing Sidney Crosby.

In a new report, Travis Yost talked about all of the rumors and reports surrounding Sidney Crosby. Travis Yost decided to use a stat called Goals Above Replacement (GAR) to determine which teams could use Sidney Crosby the most. From the graph you will see below the contending teams that take the biggest jump with Sidney Crosby seem to be the Colorado Avalanche, Vancouver Canucks, and Florida Panthers.

With this in mind, those teams would be the first places to look for a Sidney Crosby trade. The unique thing with Sidney Crosby is that he is only making 8.7 million dollars this season. For most contending teams this is a salary they could fit in compared to other stars of Sidney Crosby's ability who make much more.
